Memory Of Place follows the slow journey to demolition of a historic single family dwelling in Lincoln Heights – Los Angeles’ oldest community and the city’s original suburb. The loss of yet another piece of the L.A.’s architectural legacy in the name of progress, yields a conversation about the value of property and the effects of gentrifying forces. ($14)
Mise-En-Scene in the City is a portfolio of Los Angeles as a theatrical backdrop for the relentless drama of life on the street. It is the after hours stagecraft where the vibe of the city can be seen and realized. In all of the images, the presence of missing actors are implied by their absence. ($7)
Persistent Solitude is a body of work created using vintage Polaroid instant film. The project sought to create works using the inherent quality loss of the medium to impart a spiritual, almost dreamlike visual testament of solitude in the city. ($7)
6 Houses explores the residual memories found in the debris left behind when six small single family dwellings are suddenly razed for a condominium project that is unaffordable to those displaced. ($7)
La Virgen Among Us documents the use of the interpreted image of La Virgen de Guadalupe as an iconic street symbol on the Eastside of Los Angeles. As seen, her presence circumstantially juxtaposes between cultural marker, religious icon and community guardian. ($7)
Relentless Solitude is a photo essay (and a follow up to Mise-En-Scene in the City) that explores the post-pandemic return of the individual as a performer in the stagecraft of the city, albeit with a found awareness of isolation and alienation. ($7)
The Poppy Field is a handbound, limited edition artist book of images and prose that reflects upon the loss of love, set among the blooming poppy fields in the Southern California high desert. Limited edition of 10. ($25)
